The songs have been generously donated by artists from Guernsey, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Norway, Portugal and other countries from around the world. Some very successful and world renowned musicians have contributed and there's a style of music to suit everyone: African Fusion, Indian Bhajans, Uplifting Trance, Hip Hop, Dixieland Jazz, Acoustic Pop/Jazz, Classic Rock, Ballads, Ambient chillout, Metal, Progressive Hardcore, Acoustic Blues, Instrumentals, Balkan.
Making a Donation
Donating through JustGiving at www.justgiving.com/songs4haiti is simple, fast and totally secure. Donations can be made from anywhere in the world with a credit/debit card or PayPal. Once you donate, the money is sent directly to the charity.
IAHV in Haiti
Following the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti in January, IAHV have been helping the Haitians by sending volunteers and vital aid supplies, but their focus is also on the long term, empowering the local population to produce their own food, clean water and housing. 100 young Haitian adults will be trained by Haitian and international experts to be community educators, project organisers, workers with the skills to implement small scale home and community gardens. They will serve their country for 2 years, leading their communities to create appropriate infrastructure for supplying clean water, sanitation and safe building construction. In 2 years they will reach 1 million Haitians. IAHV will also provide trauma relief throughout Haiti in partnership with other international aid organisations.
